Who are they?
Our board of directors are caring, community volunteers, who express an interest in Hospice Lennox & Addington. The 2016/2017 board consists of the following exceptional individuals:

  • Margaret Baldwin – Vice-president
  • Albert Mulligan – Treasurer
  • Diane Remington – Secretary
  • Elaine Badgely – Director
  • Kevin Duncan – Director
  • Beth McPherson – Director
  • Burry Wiseman – Director

How are they chosen?

Potential Board members will be expected to complete an Board Application Form and submit it to the Nominating Committee prior to April 30th each year.  The Nominating Committee will review, interview and assess all applicants.  At May’s Board meeting,  the Board will nominate a proposed slate of Directors. The proposed slate will be presented to the membership for election or acclamation at the Annual General Meeting in June.

What do they do?

Directors of non-profit corporations have legal responsibilities that are set out in the legislation under which the organization is incorporated. Generally, the Board of Directors provides leadership and guides the strategic direction of an organization.
